My name is Janet Duignan; born and based in belfast, Northern Ireland.
I have always been making things for as long as I can remember, in any materials I could get my hands on.
Presently, I focus on silversmithing, woodworking, crocheting, leather, and ceramics.
For me, the process is just as important as the finished article, so everything I make is carefully and precisely designed, and then handmade using mainly traditional techniques.
Having always been drawn to anything miniature, I have as a result, ended up featuring this aspect in my artwork. My work tends to be on the smaller side, and values precision and accuracy.
